Reasons for Accreditaion with FCCPSA

One of the purposes of the FCCPSA is to prepare our member schools for excellence, and we believe well-informed school administrators will lead the way. One system of developing this process is working through the Accreditation Division of the FCCPSA.

The FCCPSA Accreditation Division is composed of private school administrators with many years of experience in the practical aspects of the administration of a private school. FCCPSA draws from the many years of experience Christian administrators have had in the private school sector from the early 1980’s to today. This accumulated wisdom has brought to fruition the Accreditation Division of the FCCPSA.

Accreditation comes from a root work similar to that of "credible", which is to be believable. Therefore, an accredited school with the FCCPSA would denote a school, which is believable in its educational efforts of excellence.

Professional organizations provide accreditation standards for their own members, Surgeons approve surgeons, judges have standards for judges and educators have criteria that other educators propose. At the FCCPSA, we believe that a state organization which has been in existence since the early 1990’s and has, as its mission to prepare administrators in school excellence, is the organization that the private school should seek for education excellence.

In Proverbs 1:1, "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge". As an organization dedicated to Jesus Christ, we believe it is our mission to live exemplary in all we do, and we set high standards for our schools because we believe we answer to a Higher Authority. Proverbs 2:6 states, "For the Lord gives wisdom, and out of His mouth comes knowledge and understanding". In addition, in Proverbs 4:7, "Wisdom is the principle thing, therefore get wisdom; and with all your getting, get understanding". The FCCPSA has garnered the wisdom and knowledge of dedicated Christian leaders in the educational front from the 1980’s through today to be able to help other educational leaders receive recognition and credibility for their efforts in operating a private school.

FCCPSA is now listed with the Dept of Education (DOE) and the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) as an accrediting agency. Their list includes only fourteen (14) agencies, and FCCPSA is one of the fourteen (14) agencies.

FCCPSA is dedicated to recognizing and improving the educational and spiritual quality in private schools, regardless of size. We’re committed to building strong, Godly foundations for children by preparing them for the purpose that God has called them. Under our organization, it is our intent to teach and train children in Biblical precepts.

The steps to accreditation:

  • The school must be a member of the FCCPSA for one school year
  • Submit the application (Phase I) (valid for twelve months)
  • Complete the Accreditation Manual (Phase II) (within six months)
  • Submit to an on-site visitation and inspection and interview (Phase III) (within three months of completion of Phase II)

If this challenge is interesting to your school, please print and complete the Accreditation Application after contacting the FCCPSA’s office for the steps and costs in becoming accredited.
